You're a PoetYou're a poet; they claim.

They tell me with bold, spotlight faces
and observing eyes from under
a quiet indignation, a smug bow.
With manners, tempting reverence,
they continue on with their speech,
asserting worth, casting back dismay.

Innocuous, it seems; pleasurable
for the host and the guest, but no.
Their words have no gain, no value
beyond a sighted smile, a soft nod.
All good intentions were left behind,
next to coat hangers and welcome mats.

They speak as if a simple judgment
might chase away the restless mind,
as if this conclusion would amend

Meeting Gary 'Roach' SandersonFor a while, Roach was just a story to me. Ghost raved about him. Seeing him run the training course made me feel so insignificant; all the self-confidence I had was long gone before he finished. The one thing that was truly jaw-dropping was his quickness. If this he was in a Wild West duel, his opponent wouldn’t even see Roach draw his gun he moved that fast.

I remember meeting him for the first time before the 141’s mission in Rio de Janeiro. Soap was going through some extra debriefing. Ironing out the edges of the plan, little nit-picky details of how he wants things to be done. Once that was finished, Roach walked by me on Meeting Gary 'Roach' Sanderson by ~Sparr0ww

Forever a MemoryA groan escaped chapped lips whilst green eyes fluttered open. A light blinded the girl lying on the most uncomfortable bed she's ever had the misfortune of resting upon. But with this feeling of total discomfort, came a sigh of relief. How Penelope had missed a bed that was so...so common. So normal, one that you could find in every home you dared to stumble into. Instead of that tiny little cot she slept on in the cottage.

"Dr. Paige, the patient appears to have awoken," a voice somewhere off to the right observed. "We're checking the vitals now to see any signs of abnormality."

“Ah, come on. It’s funny.” He rolled his eyes, blew smoke into my face as I coughed up a fit and pressed the butt of his cigarette to the palm of my hands.

“Ouch, that fucking hurt.” He rolled his eyes once more, the cigarette pressed back between his lips again.

Man, did I know how to pick ‘em. My mother always told me that going for damaging men was a family thing. Her boyfriends were always a little bit drunk and just a little crazy. They had a habit of flying off the spout.

MemoryYou're getting used to waking up in darkness.

You're not sure 'waking up' is entirely the right word, to be honest. Waking up would require you to have been asleep at some point, and you're pretty damn certain they've no intention of letting you do that in the middle of one of their 'discussions'.

But nevertheless, here you are, face-down on the floor of your cell with the roaring agony of a hundred new and exciting wounds and mutilations racing up your spine like the starting spark of a forest fire. It'll hit you soon enough, you know that much. Always does. But in the brief, ice-cold moment before the pain, one thought stands out.

I have no idea what to wear! My room is covered in clothes. I just started pulling things out and well now it’s a mess. I actually can’t see the wooden floor. What do you wear to this kind of thing? Jeans? Dress? Skirt? Dungarees? I’m kidding I don’t have a pair of those but what if I did… would they be an option?

The way they look at each other is so heart-warming. Jaiden’s eyes light up and you can tell he is looking deep into Luke’s soul. He gets this subtle smile on his face when he thinks no one is looking at him watching Luke. You can tell he would do anything for him.

Writing Intimate RelationshipsA while back, I wrote an essay called How to Write a Romance. In the essay, I outlined what I think makes a good romantic story. Whether you agree with my main viewpoints or not, I think the point that everyone can agree upon is this: writing a believable romance is tricky.
